Standing next to Swarovski on the corner of St. Helen's Square and Blake Street is the imposing facade of a branch of TSB. I remember this building as the Yorkshire Penny Bank and the Penny being droppped during inflationary times to become Yorkshire Bank before being taken over by Llooyds TSB.

hi john harper jollygreenp),
do you go around taking pictures every few days or do you have a collection of pictures to choose from?
in my case, i take pictures and the blog about them but occasionally, i do go back to my albums to look for pictures to write something about them.
want to let you know that i have 'upgraded' my blog. my new blog address is: http://ivyidaong4.blogspot.com
Hi yg,
I tend to go out and take several photos in a session then upload them to picassa. I then write up about a week's worth of blogs and use the schedule feature that is now in blogger to schedule posts for 8.45 each day. I was using it from blogger in draft before. If something special happens in town like the Sword Spectacular that I get photos of then I usually do that as an extra for that day. I tried rescheduling some posts in the past when I had something special but don't bother with that now as it makes my brain hurt!
You can sometimes work out some of the topics I'll be blogging about next by looking in the photo album in the sidebar. Most of my current topics are from York Photo 8 album but there will shortly be a post on the Quilt Museum and Gallery which has moved into St. Anthony Guildhall in Peaseholme Green and will be opening on 7 June. I plan to do a blog showing pictures I took inside the hall this weekend at a preview during the preparations for opening. That particular blog has been written and scheduled for posting on 6 June. My interest in quilts is indirect from wife who has made a few quilts so she is eagerly awaiting the opening of the Museum.
