Just between the two Haxby Road clocks mentioned in yesterday's blog is the Joseph Rowntree Memorial Library. The library was set up for the use of workers in the Rowntree factory. officcs and laboratories being open at lunch times for workers to use. During the day the library staff also provide a comprehensive techical library service for the business.
