Lantern Tower - All Saints - Pavement

This is a very striking lantern tower on All Saints church at the junction of Pavement and Coppergate. Yes, I am still playing with my new toy!

All Saints - Pavement

This view was taken from the roof car park of the ugliest building in York looking along Pavement to All Saints church the Dragoons chapel. On the right hand side is the rear entrance to Marks and Spencer. If you click on the photograph and then look at an enlargement of it in the Picasa web album you should be able to make out the sheep sign of the Golden Fleece on the right about a quarter of the way up the photograph.

All Saints - Pavement

Continuing the Greenery theme for friend Chun See in Singapore, here is All Saints church Pavement with a tree in front of it.

This church has a very interesting lantern tower which is lit at night making it even more picturesque. Notice the cycle in the foreground. York being a fairly flat city cycling is very popular, unfortunately bike theft is also a big prblem in the city and you need strong locks if you are a cyclist.
