St. Sampsons church is just around the corner from St. Sampsons square on Church Street. It is now used as a centre for over sixties to drop in for a snack and cup of tea. Now that I have reached that magic age I am now eligible to go in!

Just wondering. Is there a connection between New York and York; like the early settlers were from here?
I suggest you should provide a link to a website where there is a street map of York so it is easier of visitors to follow you explanation.
Hi Chun See,
New York used to be known as New Amsterdam until it was bought by a Yorkshireman who renamed it New York. the other connection can possibly be seen in the blunt no nonsense attides (almost to the point of rudeness)of people in both cities.
For a map location, click on the photographs which will take you to a display of the photo in Picasa web albums. To the lower right of the image you will see a google map location which can be scaled up and down. I upload all my blog photos into Picasa and tag most of the locations so you can see where they are. This is a very useful feature of Picasa. I'll add a note to that effect under the header.

Wow. That's a really cool feature of Picasa. My friend at Yesterday.sg is trying to start a project whereby we locate on Google Earth those places in Spore that no longer exist. Instead of photos, we key is some explanation.
I think maybe in Spore we shd start something like what you are doing. In our case, it would be too much work for one person becos our buildings are disappearing so fast.
