I was tempted to stand on the pedals of the Blue Bicycle parked outside the Blue Bicycle in Fossgate for this shot but ended up taking the shot through the decorative spindles of the bridge. The willow tree is in the small park behind the telephone exchange and you can just make out the top of the Rowntree Wharf building just off centre.

Amazing photo, I have never seen the Foss this blue, however I am never in town at 08:45!
Hi Freda,
the time of 08:45 is when I schedule my posting to appear not the time that I take the photographs. The actual time of the photo was at quarter past twelve on the 16 November which happened to be a very blue sky day which was reflected in the water, who needs the Mediterranean?. I tend to take a number of photos in one go and then come home and write blogs for a few days at a time using the scheduling option in Blogger.
I used to know a Freda L who worked at the Rowntree Analytical Laboratories some years ago, are you by any chance the same Freda?
